who we are
The BC FireSmart Committee (BCFSC) consist of representatives from emergency management and climate readiness agencies. Taking a whole-of-society approach in preventative action, committee members strive to build wildfire resiliency and reduce the negative impacts of fire for everyone in the province through the FireSmart BC program and in alignment with FireSmart Canada. Implementing a strategic plan, developing an annual work plan and providing stakeholders and interested parties with one governing agency, the vision is to create a wildfire-resilient province where everyone works, plays and lives FireSmart.
